Over 200 super cars will drive from Ayia Napa to Paphos whilst 5 of the latest Thundercat Racing Power Boats will
battle the seas to meet the cars arrival in Paphos on 7th November 2009. Starting times to
be confirmed, but around 0900hrs start.
The line up
Over 200 cars Friends & Customers of Prestige Cars will all arrive in Ayia Napa to display
their vehicles beauty and power to the public and allow members to talk club stuff and
generally network and make new friends with each other.
The boats – whilst everyone is admiring the beauty of over €4 million worth of aerodynamic
tarmac eating monsters; the race boats will prepare to voyage around the island at speeds
up to 85km/h. Armed with body protection, helmets, gloves, goggles, safety & first aid
equipment all loaded on to a 4.1m inflatable weighing only 160kg with a 750cc outboard
engine; this pocket rocket will surf/fly over any Cypriot wave.
The Thunderball; named because of the collaboration of the Thundercat Race Boat and
obviously the idea of a Cannonball Run type event, it seemed the perfect name. We hope
the success of the first Cyprus Thunderball will lead to an annual event with Superbikes
being invited next year and possibly become a whole weekend of fun.
The Intention
Our intention is to raise money for the hospitals in Cyprus providing Kidney Dialysis to
residents and visitors alike in Cyprus. James Syme is one of our pilots of the Thundercat
Race Boats and undergoes Kidney Dialysis 3-4 times a week; his treatment is life saving,
but James does not let this affect the extreme life he leads. We are raising money
to help other people like James to continue uninterrupted enjoyment in life. Please help us
by donating or sponsoring email info@ceasarmarinecy.com or tel. Mel on 00357 96661670
Donations can soon be made online through www.thunderball.cc
